Desperate to set the record straight, actress Teri Hatcher has announced that she does NOT have the H1N1 Swine Flu virus.
Rumors began claiming that the “Desperate Housewives” star was the latest celebrity victim of the H1N1 virus.
Although she may not have swine flu, Hollywood insiders know they are not immune to such illnesses and many in the entertainment industry are afraid of catching the virus. Doing so could mean being passed over for career making acting roles and other jobs until they are given a clean bill of health.
Teri Hatcher is ill, but not with H1N1. “She is sick and has laryngitis.”, explains her PR representative, Mr. Brad Cafarelli.
Not even laryngitis will keep Ms. Hatcher down. She is still hard at work and keeping up with her shooting schedule for the popular ABC show, now in its sixth season.
Celebrities that have had actual confirmed cases of the H1N1, swine flu virus include: Marilyn Manson, CNN Chief Medical Correspondent, Dr. Sanjay Gupta and Rupert Grint from the “Harry Potter” films.
